I selfishly knit the socks for myself and completed them in about a week's time. The sock pattern I used is just a basic top down pattern in Ann Budd's "Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns" ISBN 1-931499-04-7. I use this pattern more than any other. I actually have it memorized!

I had enough yarn leftover to knit bootees for an e-friend I met through her knitting blog. She was due with triplets and a bunch of bloggers had a virtual baby shower for her. I knit a collection of bootees as my contribution. The pattern for the bootees is the best I've ever used, and very simple.
